Double Portulaca - Moss Rose Mixed Colours
'Portulaca- Double Flowered Mix' seeds - Portulaca grandiflora
Roughly 150 to 300 double Portulaca moss rose seeds, mixed colours.
A succulent, ground cover plant with brown-red stems and cylindrical, bright green leaves. The bright flowers, which look like crumpled silk, are carried in profusion throughout the Summer. Ideal for borders or rock gardens, or as pot plants. An annual, it requires a sunny position.
Sow 5mm (quarter inch) deep in flowering position during the spring and early summer. Scatter thinly and rake in, just covering the seeds with soil. Keep moist. Feed with liquid fertiliser when flower buds appear. Water only when plants show signs of wilting.

- Semi-succulent annual growing to 20cm.
- Fast growing ground coverer.
- Good for garden borders, rockeries, as a ground cover, hanging baskets and as a container plant.
- Does well in poor soil.
- Drought tolerant.
Notes: Dislikes wet soil. Do not over water. Protect from aphids. Susceptible to damping off.
